Starting on his father’s potato Farm in Perthshire in the 1950’s to the shores of Lake Titicaca in the Andes, John has an extensive knowledge of the humble potato.

People first started cultivating potatoes 10,000 years ago in South America and they have emerged as a food of immense global importance.

He will extoll the virtues of the potato as a food and how it is produced, travelling to China for research & Peru in search of original methods of the Incas planting at an altitude of 4,000metres.
